In 2021, a total of 1,222 businesses have been selected as a youth-friendly small business and will remain eligible for one year starting 2021.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor have been selecting youth-friendly small and medium-sized enterprises by companies’ excellent wages, work and living balance, and employment security to introduce high quality enterprises to young people since 2016.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor strengthened safety-related standards to three years, excluding companies that have been involved in industrial accident deaths in the selection process and companies that have caused sexual harassment scandals.
Companies selected for youth-friendly enterprises can benefit from recruitment support through the job portal website, ‘Worknet’, benefits such as offering priority when selecting companies excluding tax investigations, and additions when designating special military service companies. The list of youth-friendly small and medium-sized enterprises in 2021 will be available at the Ministry of Employment and Labor's website(www.mois.go.kr) on January 17th.
